Comment: Hi Amy! I read your book this summer and just read Tim Madigan's I'M PROUD OF YOU book about Fred Rogers and I say BRAVO! It brought back so many memories. While attending the Art Institute of Pgh, I worked my internship in the design center at WQED and Fred and I became instant buddies. Please drop me a line, I would love to share my story with you, in more detail, of how he and I met. I was at his memorial service too. check out my blog spot and web site. cory-ographics.blogspot.com thank you

Comment: I knew relatively little about Fred Rogers until I started reading your book. The quote “…for it is God who inspires and informs all that is nourishing and good” was exactly what I needed to hear. I could not put your book down until I finished. I saw a few of Mister Rogers shows, enough to know he was a kind and caring person. But your book has helped me realize how deep he actually was and thankfully has helped me experience the essence of who he was.Thank you for a wonderful book!

Comment: I just finished reading your book about Mr. Rogers. I had grown up watching him on a daily basis and never really knew him. What a wonderful man. Thank you for sharing his story. You're incredibly lucky to have gotten to know him.

Comment: Dear Amy, Thank you for a wonderful book. My son (now 19) used to call Mr. Rogers "The Neighbor." I have a picture of him at 3, standing up at the TV watching the show. When Mr. Rogers died, I felt an emptiness inside, like I'd lost a close relative. I have to tell you that I still watch his show in the mornings while I'm getting ready for work. It's a much better start for the day than the dreary news.

Comment: Dear Amy, I purhased your book in the beginning of the summer and I wanted to tell you how it impacted my life. My father and I haven't spoken in roughly 10 years. When I was 11, my parents divorced and it was quite bitter to say the least. My mother died when I was 19 and I had so much anger and resentment built up from the constant fighting. Anyways, I remembered watching Mr. Rogers and quite simply the way you posed his life and teachings allowed me to write my father. Thank you,Kelli

Comment: Dear Amy, Your book allowed me to cope with my feelings in regards to my father. We hadn't spoken in 10+ years. After reading your book, I wrote him a letter about my anger over past issues. Mr. Rogers always put things so simply its funny how you can forget when you get older. Thank you for the reminder. I couldn't be happier now, my father and I are talking again. If it wasn't for you I probably wouldn't have ever called him and missed out on the new relationship we are forming again.

Comment: Dear Amy,I was in Florida on business and was walking through a book store just looking. I saw the red vest and tie on the cover and had to pick the book up. The first couple of sentences I read made me tear up. I never really watched his show but everytime I did I felt like I was watching innocence and I was mesmerized. I know now I was looking at the face of Christ. When he passed I was heartbroken but I know I'll see him again. Thanks for sharing who he was and what it means to be a real man.

Comment: Dear Amy, Words cannot express how the content of your book has touched me. It was the right medicine for the right time in my Christian Walk. When I got to the last page of Chapter 7, I had to close the book and put it down for awhile. I was fighting back tears (I was reading it during break on a construction site!) My wife and I are going to purchase more to use in an upcoming Sunday School. She, as well as I, thank you so much, neighbor. I'm so grateful you wrote what you did. God Bless

Comment: Amy, Thank you! Thank you for this beautiful book. We are discussing The Simple Faith of Mister Rogers at our book group ( The Saint Thomas Readers--Saint Thomas Episcopal Church, Columbus Georgia Tuesday Nov 30. I wish that you were able to be with us! Please continue writing. You have a special gift. Thank you, too, for bringing Mister Rogers back to us. P.S. My daughters, now 35 and almost 40, loved Fred Rogers and the Neighborhood. They called him "Mogers"!
